Show the current Taskhold task in WezTerm

WezTerm can print any text on the right side of its tab bar from a Lua event handler. Point it at taskhold-mcp statusline and the tab bar shows the task your agents are on and its progress, a one-line version of the live board.
Other terminals: iTerm2 has status bar components, and any terminal can use a Starship prompt module or tmux.
Set it up
Install the Taskhold CLI and save your key, then add the handler to ~/.wezterm.lua:
curl -fsSL https://taskhold.com/install.sh | sh
taskhold-mcp loginlocal wezterm = require 'wezterm'
local config = wezterm.config_builder()
config.status_update_interval = 10000
wezterm.on('update-status', function(window, pane)
local ok, out = wezterm.run_child_process { os.getenv('HOME') .. '/.taskhold/bin/taskhold-mcp', 'statusline' }
window:set_right_status(ok and out:gsub('%s+$', '') or '')
end)
return configOne limit to know
The text lives in the tab bar, so it disappears if you hide the tab bar (hide_tab_bar_if_only_one_tab = true with a single tab). WezTerm runs one update-status at a time, so a slow fetch delays the next refresh rather than piling up.
See how far along your coding agents are.
$12/month or $120/year after the trial. Card up front. Cancel before day 7 and you pay nothing. Every agent you run is included.
