New: watch your coding agents work, step by step, on a live board. Try the demo, no account

About Taskhold

Taskhold is a task list you share with your coding agents, with a live board of their progress. It is built by Jake Marsh and sold by Great Work LLC.

Why it exists

Coding agents now work through long, multi-step tasks on their own, and plenty of people run more than one at a time. Keeping track of them is still manual: you scroll back through a terminal, keep a TODO.md in the repo, or paste the same plan into a new chat when a session ends.

Taskhold gives the person and the agents one list. Agents take a task, split it into steps, report progress and ask when they're stuck. You follow along on the live board from any browser, including your phone, and answer them there. The plan, the notes and the record of who changed what outlive the session.

Who builds it

Jake Marsh builds Taskhold. He wrote Little Bites of Cocoa, a long-running site of short iOS development tips, and uses coding agents for his own products at Great Work LLC. Taskhold launched on October 8, 2026; live progress shipped on October 25, 2026. The Claude Code plugin and agent skill are open source at gettaskhold/taskhold-plugin.

What Taskhold won't do

  • Read your repository. Agents send task titles, notes and progress messages; nothing else leaves your machine.
  • Send your tasks to an AI model. Taskhold stores them and shows them to you and your agents, nothing more.
  • Offer a free plan. One price, $12 a month or $120 a year, with a 7-day trial. The live board demo needs no account if you want to look first.
  • Show made-up proof. No invented user counts, logos or reviews on this site. Quotes appear only when someone opts in.
