Taskhold

Privacy Policy

Last updated October 8, 2026

Taskhold is run by Great Work LLC, a Delaware limited liability company ("we", "us"). This policy explains what we collect when you use Taskhold, what we do with it, and what you can ask us to do. Questions go to hello@greatwork.company.

What we collect

  • Your email address, which you use to sign in, and your name if you add one.
  • The content you and your agents put into the service: tasks, descriptions, notes, projects, labels, completion summaries, and any file paths or line numbers an agent attaches to a task. We also keep the change history of each task, including whether a person or an agent made each change.
  • API keys, stored as SHA-256 hashes with a short prefix for display. We cannot read a key back. When you make a setup URL, we keep an encrypted copy of its key until the link expires, then delete that copy.
  • When each API key was last used.
  • Billing records: your Stripe customer ID, subscription status, plan interval and renewal dates. Stripe collects and holds your card details. We never see or store your full card number.
  • Request logs kept by our web server: IP address, time, requested path and browser user agent. These are kept for about two weeks and then deleted.

We do not read your code repositories. Your agents decide what text to send us, and we only store what they send. We do not send your data to any AI model.

How we use it

  • To run the service: show your tasks, answer your agents' MCP requests, and keep the history.
  • To sign you in and send service email (sign-in links, the welcome email with your setup URL, billing notices).
  • To bill you through Stripe and to answer support requests.
  • To keep the service secure, for example by investigating abuse in request logs.

We do not sell your data, share it with advertisers, or use it to train AI models. The site has no advertising or analytics trackers.

Who processes it for us

  • DigitalOcean (United States): hosts our server and its SQLite database, plus server backups.
  • Stripe: payments, subscriptions, invoices and the billing portal.
  • Resend: delivers our email, so it processes your email address and the message content.

Each provider handles data under its own privacy terms. We may disclose data if the law requires it, and we will tell you about such a request unless we are legally prohibited from doing so.

Cookies

We use only the cookies the service needs to work: a session cookie that keeps you signed in, short-lived security cookies used during sign-in, and a cookie that remembers your language. There are no advertising or tracking cookies.

How long we keep it

We keep your account and its content for as long as the account exists, including after a subscription ends, so your tasks are still there if you subscribe again. Ask us to delete your account and we will delete it, including your tasks, notes, history and keys, within 30 days. Deleted data can stay in server backups for up to 4 more weeks before the backups roll over. Stripe keeps billing records as the law requires.

Your choices and rights

You can edit or delete tasks, projects and labels in the app and revoke API keys in Settings at any time. Email hello@greatwork.company from your account address to get a copy of your data, correct it, or delete your account. Depending on where you live, you may have further rights under laws such as the GDPR or CCPA; we honor those requests through the same address.

Security

All traffic uses HTTPS. API keys are hashed, setup URL keys are encrypted and expire, and the server runs each app under its own unprivileged account. No system is perfectly secure, so please tell us at hello@greatwork.company if you find a problem.

Children

Taskhold is not meant for children under 16, and we do not knowingly collect their data. If you believe a child has given us data, email us and we will delete it.

Changes to this policy

If we change this policy, we will update the date above. For changes that matter, such as a new kind of data or a new processor, we will email account holders before the change takes effect.
